The demand for new professional truck drivers in Ontario continues to grow as long-time drivers retire. To meet the training demands, Crossroads Barrie has added 2 more trucks to its fleet; Peterbilt and Volvo tractors with automatic transmissions. Crossroads also added two more instructors.
Crossroads also added two more qualified truck driving instructors.
With about half of all rigs on the road having automatic transmissions, these new big-rigs will allow more students to comfortably select truck driving as a career option.
Crossroads Barrie president Micahel Preston states, “…we had no choice but to expand the fleet as more and more men and women seek a driving career in the transportation industry. Crossroads Barrie is well equipped to meet the training needs of our students. Every day our classes are near capacity and we have them driving in our excellent fleet with great instructors.”
